Version 1 · Last updated 12 October 2026
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 (or the higher age set out in the listing), hold a current driving licence valid in Zimbabwe for the vehicle class, and pass Roamkin's identity verification. Any additional driver must be named in the booking and approved by the Host and Roamkin before they drive.
2. Booking
A booking is confirmed once the Host accepts (or it is auto-confirmed) and Roamkin shows the booking as confirmed. Before you pay you will see the rental price, service fee, security deposit and cancellation terms.
3. Using the vehicle
Use the vehicle only for lawful purposes and within agreed mileage and area limits. You must not:
- drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- sublet, lend or sell the vehicle, or let anyone unapproved drive it
- use it for racing, towing, off-road driving or commercial hire unless the listing allows it
- take it outside Zimbabwe without the Host's prior written consent
Keep the vehicle locked and the keys secure. You are responsible for traffic fines, tolls and parking charges incurred during the rental.
4. Condition check
Before driving off, record the vehicle's condition with the Host through the app. Report any difference you notice immediately. Do not drive a vehicle that appears unsafe. Complete the same check at return.
5. Fuel and returns
Return the vehicle at the agreed time and place, with fuel or charge at the agreed level. Late return may attract reasonable charges disclosed in the booking, and you must tell the Host as early as possible if you will be late.
6. Accidents, theft and breakdown
In an accident, theft or breakdown: ensure safety, call emergency services where needed, notify the Host and Roamkin as soon as possible, report to the Zimbabwe Republic Police for any accident with injury, theft or third-party damage, and do not admit liability or agree settlements without advice. Keep photos and details of anyone involved.
7. Your liability
You are liable for proven loss or damage caused by you or an approved driver, subject to the Security Deposit and Damage Policy and the Insurance and Vehicle Protection Policy, and not for fair wear and tear or loss caused by the Host's own fault.
8. Your rights
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected. Accepting a vehicle is not a waiver of hidden defects.
